Ryokan Tanoya – A Favorite for Families in Kyoto

Ryokan Tanoya has a coffee shop on site and provides daily housekeeping. The property offers luggage storage and a laundry facility for guest use. Complimentary bottled water is provided in all guestrooms, and an accommodation fee of Y1200 is charged at check-in.

The Twin Room with Garden View opens onto a private Japanese garden with stone lanterns, a pine tree, and a red maple tree. The Japanese-Style Quadruple Room is large with separate sleeping and resting areas, comfortable futons, and plenty of bathroom amenities. The ryokan is located in a quiet residential area of Kamigyo Ward, a 16-minute walk from Nijo Castle. Kyoto Imperial Palace is about a 20-minute walk away, and the nearest subway station is a similar distance. Bus stop Omiya-Nakadachiuri is served by bus #50, which connects to Kyoto Station in about 30 minutes.

The inner courtyard garden features Japanese stone lanterns, a pine tree, a red maple tree, and bright green moss. Rooms with garden access allow guests to open the door for fresh air and enjoy the view. The garden is not open for walking, but the visual access from the room is included.
